Job description

Job ID ac2eeaff-3475-44ae-bed5-502bdcfa2775 Business Entity Lyra Clinical Associates P.C.
About the Role

Lyra developed an innovative video therapy program called Lyra Care Therapy: blending live video sessions with between-session digital psychoeducation and customizable skill building tools. We also have a powerful program called Lyra Renew, specializing in substance use and mental health recovery. This role combines the strengths and benefits of these two programs, providing resources and support to ensure that your clients get better—all while improving access to mental health care from your home or preferred setting.

Daily: As a Lyra Care Therapist, you’ll provide short-term, evidence-based outpatient treatment via live video. You’ll assign digital lessons, videos, and assessments to your clients to enhance learnings and monitor outcomes between sessions.

In addition to the core Lyra Care Therapist role working with diverse mental health presentations for 80% of caseload, Renew therapists work in our interdisciplinary team providing specialized outpatient substance use support for 20% of caseload. You will have the flexibility to dedicate more of your caseload to substance use treatment to further diversify your clinical work, according to your interests.

An important note: Lyra's clients come from a multitude of different backgrounds and experiences, and have varying needs and abilities. We strive to continue to meet their unique needs by delivering culturally responsive care—an approach that accounts for the impact of cultural backgrounds on each person’s care experience. In Renew, we recognize that words matter in the mission to overcome societal and healthcare stigma around alcohol and substance use. We intentionally use language and communication to destigmatize treatment and promote our clients’ overall well-being within their cultural context.

Regularly: Our Lyra Care therapists enjoy connecting with their peers. You will find instant community with other providers from AUD/SUD training backgrounds (inpatient, outpatient, acute settings) who share a passion for providing evidence-based care. You’ll attend one-on-one and peer group clinical consultation meetings. You’ll attend a Renew multidisciplinary team meeting, where you’ll have access to medical consultations with an expert physician. You’ll attend ongoing, robust training to enhance your clinical skills, including Renew workshops on AUD/SUD clinical topics.

You always have a team behind you if a crisis comes up. You’re never alone, even while working remotely within the US.

This role is a great fit if you're a California licensed clinician with experience in addiction treatment from a clinical setting, or have training in substance use treatment, who would like to join our interdisciplinary team providing specialized substance use support through individual outpatient teletherapy sessions. If you would enjoy a balanced caseload of clients with diverse mental health presentations (80%) and those with primary AUD treatment needs (20%), then this role is for you!

Renew clients are part of our outpatient program working with Lyra therapists and  physicians to develop the best treatment plan. Renew clients have peer recovery support through groups and 1:1 meetings to enhance their care.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from a clinical track (e.g., MSW, MFT, MC, MMHC)
  • Unrestricted LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent license (i.e., able to work independently, without supervision from a licensed supervisor) without current, past, or pending disciplinary action
  • Experience and commitment to providing evidence-based treatments (e.g., ACT, CBT, CPT, DBT) and clinical best practices (e.g., measurement based care, promoting skills practice)
  • Substance use treatment experience in settings such as Intensive Outpatient or Residential Rehabilitation and/or training in substance use treatment
  • Experience providing video therapy
  • Experience maintaining a full clinical caseload of adult and/or adolescent clients/week
  • Ability to work full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
  • Full-time resident of the United States

As a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will be employed by Lyra Clinical Associates P.C. We manage the business operations so you can focus on providing high-quality mental health care. Here are just some of our perks and benefits:

  • 401k

  • Equity in the company through discretionary restricted stock units
  • Free live and recorded webinars with CE approval from APA, ASWB, and NBCC
  • Malpractice liability insurance policy
  • Licensure renewal reimbursement—up to 5 state licenses
  • Opportunity for cross-licensure sponsorship and support, if eligible
  • A caseload of motivated clients from diverse industries and backgrounds
