About the Role
We are looking for an experienced mental health evaluator with a passion for delivering premium solutions to clients, customers, and vendors for all their evaluation needs. You will support the growth of our Mental Health Evaluations Team by providing evaluations and case management support anchored in collaboration, simplicity, and transparency. Evaluations you will be completing include short-term disability and substance use evaluations, as well as additional assessment and documentation services (e.g., requests for accommodations or readiness to return to work following Monitored Referrals). Case management support duties include consulting with other providers on completing LOA paperwork, supporting clients, customers, and key stakeholders to navigate programs such as Fitness for Duty evaluations, Substance Use Evaluations for regulated (i.e., DOT/NRC) and non-regulated employees, and Monitored Referral clients.
This position is fully remote and is an independent contributor role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive, virtual mental health evaluations and case management
- Maintain a full caseload of evaluation and follow-up appointments (approximately 28 potential bookable calendar spots)
- Consult with a team of evaluators, case managers, and operations peers in regular 1:1s and group consultations
- Provide ongoing case management support to clients, employers, vendors, and key stakeholders, including submitting paperwork, supporting treatment recommendations, answers questions, and connecting to appropriate Lyra resources
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited program
- Unrestricted license in any US state (priority given to PsyPact authorized applicants; PsyPact-eligible applicants; or applicants licensed in California)
- Completion of a supervised APA-accredited internship
- Willingness to become cross-licensed in a minimum of at least two additional states
- Able to demonstrate 5+ years of experience completing comprehensive evaluations for clients (e.g., disability evaluations, SAP evaluations, workplace accommodations letters, etc.)
- Comfortable using technology to deliver care and assessments virtually
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Independent, open-minded, non-judgmental, compassionate, and flexible
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills (speaking and listening)

The anticipated starting base salary range for a full-time MHE Clinical Evaluations Lead is $107,000-$132,000 annually. The base salary is determined by role and placement within the range, and will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, and location.
