About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced communications professional to build programs that establish Lyra as the leading provider in mental health care and the partner of choice for the world's top employers, health plans, and health systems. 

Reporting to our director of corporate communications, you'll create high-impact programs and own them end-to-end. You're someone who sees projects through, works well with executives and cross-functional teams, and ideally brings healthcare tech experience and strong media relationships to the table.

Responsibilities

  • Generate positive media coverage for Lyra Health by managing inbound media inquiries and proactive storytelling aligned to corporate priorities. 
  • Forge new media relationships and maintain strong working relationships with key beat reporters, industry influencers, and analysts to build and protect Lyra Health’s corporate reputation. 

  • Write press releases, byline opportunities, and award submissions in support of corporate initiatives and our subject matter expert program.

  • Develop clear, differentiated messaging and narrative frameworks for key company initiatives, partnering across teams to ensure consistency across external channels.

  • Shape and drive Lyra’s subject matter expert (SME) program and work alongside our executive communications leader to support our thought leadership campaigns.

  • Lead our monitoring and reporting process, leveraging AI and third-party platforms to assemble campaign recaps and contribute to our team’s quarterly and annual reports.

  • Support spokespeople readiness by developing briefing materials, messaging, and media prep for executives and subject matter experts.

  • Proactively identify reputational risks in media coverage related to mental health and develop responsible, mission-aligned responses in collaboration with leadership and clinical experts.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with PR agency and/or in-house communications roles (healthcare experience a plus)

  • Excellent writer who can turn complex clinical concepts into language anyone can understand.

  • Skilled communications strategist with a proven ability to quantify how PR campaigns deliver measurable business impact.

  • Proven track record of creating thought leadership programs that drive media coverage.

  • Experience preparing and coaching spokespeople at all levels.

  • Adept at balancing long-term brand building with the daily demands of a fast-paced communications team.

  • Proven ability to work effectively across functions – marketing, product, customer advocacy, clinical, legal – to align messaging and move quickly.

  • A results-driven communicator who asks good questions, finds answers, and builds trust through honest communication and authentic storytelling

  • Familiarity with MuckRack, Cision, BusinessWire, utilization of AI for market intelligence.

As a full-time Corporate Communication Manager, you will be employed by Lyra Health, Inc. The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 to $131,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses. 

Annual salary is only one part of an employee’s total compensation package at Lyra. We also offer generous benefits that include:
