Job Description

About Lyra Health
Lyra Health is a leading provider of evidence-based mental health care, serving more than 20 million people globally in partnership with employers and more than 100 million through health plan and partner relationships. The company has delivered more than 15 million sessions of mental health care, published more than 35 peer-reviewed studies, and delivered unmatched outcomes in terms of access, clinical effectiveness, and cost efficiency. Extensive peer-reviewed research confirms Lyra’s transformative care model helps people recover twice as fast and results in a 26% annual reduction in overall healthcare claims costs. Lyra is transforming access to life-changing mental health care through Lyra Empower, the only fully integrated, AI-powered platform combining the highest-quality care and technology solutions.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Director, Provider Performance & Analytics to build and oversee the measurement architecture for provider performance across all clinical service lines. In this role, you will define how Lyra measures provider capacity, availability, schedule utilization, productivity, and quality across a diverse clinical workforce spanning therapy, coaching, medication management, high-acuity care, substance use treatment, and neuropsychology.

Operating at the intersection of Clinical Leadership, Operations, Data Analytics, Finance, and Product, you will establish common performance definitions, build scalable measurement frameworks and executive dashboards, diagnose systemic performance variation, and translate data insights into operational management systems.

The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare analytics and performance expertise—combining hands-on quantitative data fluency and systems thinking with proven operational judgment in a complex healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Performance Architecture & Vision: Define the multi-year roadmap for provider performance measurement and management across therapy, coaching, medication management, high-acuity care, substance use treatment, neuropsychology, and future service lines. Establish a unified performance architecture that appropriately accounts for differences in clinical disciplines, care modalities, and patient populations.

  • Metric Logic & Data Governance: Partner with Clinical, Analytics, Finance, and Operations leaders to define the exact metrics and methodologies for provider supply, availability, active panel capacity, schedule utilization, productivity, and access. Establish standardized metric definitions, governance, and single sources of truth across the enterprise.

  • Analytics, Dashboards & Decision Support: Translate performance strategy into actionable dashboards, scorecards, forecasting capabilities, and decision-support tools. Ensure data is tailored for action across all levels—from frontline providers and clinical managers to service-line and C-suite leadership.

  • Systemic Diagnosis & Capacity Oversight: Develop scalable approaches to model provider capacity across employment models (W2 vs. 1099), clinical specialties, and care modalities. Partner with service-line leaders to establish appropriate productivity expectations and identify the operational drivers of provider availability and utilization.

  • Ownership of Provider Reviews & Escalations: Establish mechanisms for provider goal setting, performance reviews, and escalations. Partner closely with Clinical Leadership and People teams on appropriate ownership of individual provider performance.

  • Executive Reporting & Business Reviews: Develop executive-level reporting and recurring business-review mechanisms (WBRs/QBRs) that clearly communicate network trends, variations, risks, and opportunities, helping senior leaders translate insights into organizational priorities and investment decisions.

  • Team Scaling & Cross-Functional Leadership: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations and analytics team, and serve as a trusted partner to senior leaders across Clinical, Operations, Analytics, Finance, Product, and People to build alignment.

Core Requirements:

  • 8–12+ Years in Healthcare Analytics, Health-Tech Operations, Care Delivery, or Strategy: Proven experience leading complex analytical or operational initiatives within health systems, care delivery organizations, multi-site medical groups, tech-enabled health platforms, value-based care, or healthcare management consulting.

  • 5+ Years of Direct People Management: Demonstrated track record of scaling high-performing analytics or operations teams and fostering a culture of disciplined problem-solving.

  • Systems Thinking & Problem Structuring: Exceptional ability to break down complex, ambiguous business problems, define underlying metric frameworks, isolate root-cause drivers, and translate quantitative insights into clear operational solutions.

  • Quantitative Data Fluency: Hands-on technical data comfort (e.g., SQL, BI platforms like Domo/Tableau/Looker, data schema scoping) with a strong track record of partnering directly with Data Science, Engineering, and BI teams on data modeling and metric logic.

  • Strategic Clinical & Executive Partnership: Proven track record of collaborating effectively with non-technical executive stakeholders—especially clinical or medical leaders—to build buy-in, translate complex data, and establish shared operational goals.

Preferred Experience:

  • Direct Care Delivery & Provider Analytics Depth: Prior experience specifically designing provider performance measurement frameworks, capacity models, or schedule utilization metrics within a medical group, health system, or direct care delivery organization.

  • Complex Network & Employment Scaling: Experience managing performance metrics or capacity modeling across heterogeneous clinician types (e.g., prescribers vs. therapists) or hybrid employment models (W2 vs. 1099).

As a full-time Director, Provider Performance & Analytics, you will be employed by Lyra Health, Inc. The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000 - $184,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
