About the Role
Lyra is looking for a Manager of Credentialing to lead Lyra’s credentialing team. This role involves overseeing all comprehensive credentialing and recredentialing for our network of health care professionals. This position manages the credentialing team, ensures adherence to all credentialing standards, and leads accreditation compliance. The ideal candidate brings a robust background in healthcare credentialing, a deep understanding of compliance landscapes, and proven team leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of practitioner credentialing and recredentialing, ensuring alignment with State, Federal, and NCQA standards and annual audits of all credentialing delegated entities
- Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all credentialing processes, systems, and regulatory requirements, offering expert guidance and support to stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
- Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and streamlined processes for the Credentialing department to optimize performance and efficiency
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards, and summaries detailing credentialing activities, outcomes, and trends
- Spearhead the implementation and optimization of new credentialing technologies and systems to drive operational efficiency and bolster compliance
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of provider data through regular audits and meticulous maintenance of credentialing databases and systems
- Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the credentialing team, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years experience in healthcare credentialing, compliance, and provider network management in a digital healthcare setting
- Proven track record of successfully leading and developing credentialing teams, with experience adapting operational strategies to support organizational growth
- In-depth knowledge of NCQA accreditation standards and demonstrated expertise leading contractual, regulatory and accreditation survey preparation and net new quality accreditation efforts
- Expertise with credentialing software such as CredentialStream
- Proficient in navigating complex audit processes and compliance regulations
- Documented success in process improvement initiatives, including the implementation of credentialing technology and workflow automation solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey complex compliance and credentialing information to diverse stakeholders
- A strong dedication to cultivating a team culture that emphasizes high performance, continuous professional development, and operational excellence
Preferred Qualifications:
- NAMSS Certification as a Certified Professional Medical Services Manager (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentials Specialist (CPCS)
- CPHQ, CPPS, CPHRM, or similar certification
- Experience in payer relations and payer credentialing procedures
- Experience in a digital start-up is a plus but not required
The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time Manager of Credentialing position is $95,000 - $146,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
