About the Role
The Quality, Risk, and Compliance Specialist will support Lyra’s quality assurance, risk management, and regulatory compliance activities to ensure alignment with Joint Commission standards and organizational policies. This role works closely with the Quality, Risk, and Compliance Manager to implement and maintain compliance programs, conduct audits, and support quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in health care accreditations, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation and oversight of Quality, Risk, and Compliance programs, ensuring adherence to Joint Commission standards and regulatory requirements.
Help coordinate the verification and documentation of staff credentials, including licensure, certification, and registration.
Support the competency assessment program for staff providing telehealth care, ensuring timely completion of initial assessments and ongoing evaluations.
Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating quality, risk, and compliance issues, including participating in investigations and root cause analyses.
Support the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Help facilitate risk management activities, including incident reporting and documentation.
Assist in ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations as well as Joint Commission standards, including facilitating internal audits and supporting accreditation activities.
Coordinate the comprehensive internal auditing process, ensuring adherence to quality, risk, and compliance standards, including follow-up on corrective actions.
Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to quality, risk, and compliance to support the organization’s mission.
Audit and coordination of audits for clinical documentation.
Educate staff on quality, risk, and compliance policies, including telehealth-specific standards, and help promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Help monitor and analyze quality, risk, and compliance data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in healthcare quality, operations, or equivalent experience in a related field.
A master's or Doctoral degree in the health-related field is preferred.
5+ years of experience monitoring and analyzing quality, risk, and compliance data to identify emerging trends and provide actionable insights.
Strong familiarity or proficiency with key regulatory standards, specifically Joint Commission standards and applicable state and federal regulations.
Proven experience in coordinating and conducting comprehensive internal audits, including auditing for clinical documentation, and managing follow-up on corrective actions.
Capability in identifying, assessing, and mitigating quality, risk, and compliance issues, including participation in investigations and root cause analyses.
Experience in assisting with the development and maintenance of quality, risk, and compliance policies and procedures, and the ability to educate staff on these standards, including telehealth-specific standards.
Experience using Google suite
As a full-time Quality Risk & Compliance Specialist, you will be employed by Lyra Health, Inc. The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $130,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
