Our process prioritizes getting to know the whole patient, which is why our first appointments are 90 minutes. You'll have the opportunity to regularly consult with an expert psychiatrist and a team of high-caliber physician colleagues, ensuring you have the peer support you need to deliver top-quality care.

Job description
Requirements
- Provide psychiatric evaluations: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for individuals participating in the vIOP to establish diagnoses and inform treatment planning
- Medication management: Provide expert psychopharmacological management, including prescribing and monitoring medications, psychoeducation about medications, and collaborating with patients on medication-related decisions.
- Collaborate on treatment planning: Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the development and implementation of holistic treatment plans for vIOP participants
- Offer consultation to therapists: Provide clinical consultation to vIOP therapists regarding complex cases, diagnostic considerations, and medication-related issues
- Conduct brief individual follow-up appointments: Provide brief, focused follow-up appointments with vIOP participants, as needed, for medication management and to monitor treatment progress
- Maintain accurate documentation: Ensure timely and accurate completion of all psychiatric documentation, including evaluation reports, medication charts, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with Lyra's policies and procedures
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards: Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct and adhere to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including HIPAA
- Utilize technology effectively: Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHRs) for virtual care delivery and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives: Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of the Lyra vIOP program
Qualifications
- MD or DO, ABPN board certified in psychiatry
- Unrestricted California license
- Leadership experience with a strong background in teaching and collaborating with colleagues
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Eager to deliver collaborative mental health care and direct patient care
- Experience managing risk and responding to clinical crises
- Experience providing telehealth services in a virtual environment preferred but not required
- Computer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.)
- Full-time resident of the United States
